After a year, his first website was on page 3 at Google for “Fotograf Landsberg” and the business profile at place 7, with no ads and no ongoing search engine optimisation. The new version has 36 pages: one for each of the 7 services, 15 for places in the region and 10 stories from the portfolio. Images alone answer no search, text does.

For a pure portfolio that clients find through recommendations or Instagram, a website builder is often enough. If so, I tell you.
If you want to be found on Google for “photographer” plus your town, the website needs a page for each service and each place. I plan and write those pages.
How big does the portfolio need to be?
One page starts at €400 at a fixed price, each extra page costs €150. A home page, three galleries and an about page are five pages, so €1,000. The contact page, legal notice and privacy policy are included. The website is usually online after two to four weeks. If you need more later, such as a booking request, the website can be extended.

What if I have many images?
I choose the structure and image sizes so the page stays fast even then. You decide which images you show.
Can I add new work later?
Yes. You send me the new images, I add them and bill by effort.
Can I give my clients their images through the website?
Yes, with a password-protected client gallery: each client sees only their own images. That is a website with an extra feature from €1,200. You pay for the storage space for the images directly to the provider, depending on how much you store.
Do you design my logo too?
I use an existing logo. If you do not have one, I design one for you.
Can I build the portfolio myself?
Yes, with a website builder or with AI. When that is enough and where it gets tricky is explained in the article building your website yourself with AI or a builder.
